About your new role:
- Provide advanced Psychology practice, including individual, family and group work with consumers with complex mental health and psychosocial needs utilising a Recovery Model Based Framework
- Provide support, supervision, primary and secondary consultations to members of the multidisciplinary team, regarding psychological practice principles and approaches
- Provision of intensive community based interventions and outreach support as clinically indicated to consumers and their families
- Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and other service providers including GP’s and NDIS service providers
About You:
- Comprehensive experience in clinical practice within the mental health field
- Experience in supervising other Clinical Psychologists including Grade 2 Psychologists
- Relevant skills and experience in developing and implementing evidence based psychological interventions for consumers with a range of moderate to complex presentations.
- Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with consumers who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
