NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,700 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (Inner West, Mid West, North West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health.
NWMH is a clinical division of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health. The Post Graduate Nursing Program offers a wide range of supported clinical placements and support with study leave.
We are seeking Registered Nurses with a demonstrated interest in Mental Health Nursing and a commitment to ongoing professional development, to join NorthWestern Mental Health’s 2016 Post Graduate Mental Health Nursing Program. This Program incorporates a number of mental health clinical rotations in acute, community and specialist settings.

Successful applicants will have:
• Demonstrated academic achievement in tertiary study
• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
• Excellent communication skills
• A graduate certificate in mental health nursing, or can demonstrate significant work experience within a mental health setting
• Enrolled in an approved course of study that leads to a post graduate diploma in mental health nursing.

Successful applicants must provide either a certified copy of a current Working with Children Check Card or evidence of having made an application for a WWC Check Card upon commencement. All appointments are made subject to satisfactory police records check.
