We are looking experienced and motivated Cardiac Sonographer to join our dynamic Echo team. Full time or part time sonographers seeking flexible hours will be considered.

 

Your Opportunity:


The Cardiology Department at the Royal Melbourne is in a growth phase with additional beds opening and a new Cath Lab forecast within the next 12 months. The Royal Melbourne Hospital is part of the Parkville precinct and is co-located with the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. 

 

The Echo department has the latest Philips and GE Echo machines with 3D capabilities. Primary role involves scanning transthoracic Echos on outpatients and inpatients as well as occasional Stress Echos. Specialty services include Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Adult  Congenital Heart Disease during Pregnancy, complex Electrophysiology and structural cardiac intervention (TAVI, Percutaneous Pulmonary Valves, Mitral Clip). 

 

Sonographers at RMH are well supported with 2 Echo educators onsite. We have a comprehensive Echo training program for both new trainees and those with experience wanting to expand their skills into other areas such as Adult Congenital Heart Disease.

 

About You:

  • Applied Science degree and/or completion of a recognised Echo course such as DMU or QUT
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in scanning
  • Current registration with ASAR
