The Opportunity: The Senior Clinician Social Worker, through their clinical expertise, has a leading role in ensuring excellence in patient care, implementation and organisation of clinical and professional teams and fostering staff development. . The Senior Social Worker leads a dynamic and cohesive Aged Care Social Work team and has a pivotal role in Allied Health to ensure that all patients receive high level care across the in-patient and outpatient areas. The successful applicant will work with key stakeholders to develop innovative models of care for a variety of patients and maximise the role of social work within the evolving organisational aged care services. This Senior Social Worker will also have an understanding of wider organisational and public health influences on public hospital services and lead ongoing service improvement and development. The successful applicant will have exceptional communication skills and demonstrable experience of leading effective working relationships within interdisciplinary teams. The Social Work Department has a well-established supervision program and supports ongoing professional development for all staff. Additional Information: • This position leads an expert team across City and Royal Park Campuses, through acute and subacute clinical areas • The position is supported by supervision and professional development • Applicants must be eligible for AASW registration • Applicants must be available to undergo a two-stage recruitment process. Stage one is a brief telephone interview of shortlisted candidates.
