Community Engagement Manager

Patient experience is critical in providing safe, timely, effective, person centred care. Understanding the patient experience ensures that we have a complete perspective of how our health system and processes are working and interacting.


Working closely with our Community Engagement Manager (0.6), you will be a key member of our Patient Experience and Community Engagement team.  This team leads the following areas of work:

  • Community engagement
  • Consumer partnerships and participation
  • Oversight and analysis of patient experience data
  • Health Literacy
  • Patient, Consumer, Carer Stories
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Advance Care Planning
  • Volunteer Services

Your new role

  • Drive contemporary consumer and community engagement practice for RMH
  • Help support our Community Advisory Committee
  • Be a key member of the Patient Experience team, aiming for excellence in community engagement and partnering with consumers
  • Build and lead strategies and projects to ensure that RMH is a great place to receive care

About you

  • Previous experience in managing community engagement, consumer participation, volunteer services
  • Great project management and change management skills
  •  Understanding of the legislative requirements related to community engagement, consumer participation and volunteer services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain networks with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
