An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and friendly team. This new part time Grade 2 position is based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital - City Campus with a focus on stroke, surgical and trauma caseload.

 

The successful applicant will be committed to an interdisciplinary approach and have a well-developed understanding of health and occupational performance issues for clients who have experienced  trauma or neurological event. Supported by a multidisciplinary stroke team, this role is responsible for the delivery of efficient and evidence based occupational therapy interventions in the acute setting. Continuing professional development opportunities are offered within both the multidisciplinary team and the broader occupational therapy team. This role is supported by an Allied Health Assistant, Grade 3 Occupational Therapist and Grade 4 leader in Occupational Therapy Research.

Portfolio and supervision structures within the occupational therapy department will also provide opportunities for the successful applicant to participate in clinical governance activities, including quality and research projects.
