About the Role:

- RIS/PACS Support Consultant (Radiology IT Support)

- Radiology Information System (RIS) and the Picture Archiving & Communication System (PACS).


Key Accountabilities:

- Participation in the development and implementation of the annual Melbourne Health and portfolio specific business planning process;
- Achievement of Melbourne Health and portfolio specific KPI targets as they apply to your area of responsibility;
- Participation in and satisfactory feedback through the annual performance review process including 360 degree feedback
- Ability to take accountability for all reasonable care to provide a safe working environment within your area of responsibility and ensure compliance with OH&S, anti-discrimination, equal opportunity & other legislative requirements.
- To support the PACS/RIS system as part of the hospital network, IT system personnel, medical imaging administrators, modality service personnel, and RIS & PACS vendor companies.
- To act as the point of reference for RIS & PACS services, and to request service assistance through remote dial-up or on-site service.
- To assist end users with inquires related to all PACS/RIS softcopy display units.
- To assist all Radiology IT related issues.


Essential Requirements for the Role:
- A tertiary qualification in either Information Technology and / or Medical Imaging.
- Previous health sector experience in either a Medical Imaging or Health IT.
- Knowledge and experience of RIS and PACS.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, with knowledge and experience of information technology systems, particularly in the medical imaging health care environment.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working intra hospital relationships.
- Provide a high excellence in service and support
- A demonstrated high degree of motivation, commitment and teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use reporting tools to provide information to line management
- Demonstrated ability to develop support and instruction manuals
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated team player and working unsupervised.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about Imaging technology
