About the positions:

Peter Mac and Melbourne Health are seeking three Intake Assistants to join each hospital’s Familial Cancer Centre. The FCC is primarily a clinical service that provides genetic counselling, medical advice and psychological support to individuals and their families who are concerned about their family’s history of cancer. Clinical research is also an important focus of the FCC.

The positions are part-time. The Peter Mac positions will be 17 hours per fortnight (flexible days), for a fixed term of 12 months. The Royal Melbourne positions will be 19 hours per fortnight for a fixed term until Dec 2016.

The appointees will assist with processing new referrals which come into the FCC for individuals seeking information about their family history of cancer. As well, coordinate the intake process which requires working and liaising with Genetic Counsellors and other FCC team members in order to complete intake process for new referrals
