Advertisement text The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Renal Supportive Care program is a pathway component of RMH Kidney Care and represents an integration of Renal and Palliative Medicine, utilising the skills of both disciplines to ensure optimum nephrology care whilst adding a focus on symptom control, holistic physical and spiritual care. Renal Supportive Care (RSC) - Project Officer | RMH Kidney Care Service | RMH City Campus | Part Time, Grade 4B CNC | 12 Month contract About the Role: The RSC project officer will work with the RSC / CKD Nurse practitioner, palliative care team, clinical case managers and the regional renal educators in building linkages, educating patients and health professionals and implementing and analysing data using the RSC tools. The renal palliative care clinic was established at RMH in 2013 and our service has been instrumental in developing state wide symptom management guidelines.. The successful applicant will have experience in nephrology and/or palliative care nursing, an understanding of the RMH continuum of care for people with CKD, advanced assessment, problem solving, critical thinking and organisational capabilities, high level interpersonal and communication skills and will be a demonstrated self-starter with strong capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
