St Albans CCU is committed to increasing an individual’s psychosocial independence through a variety of person-centred programs aimed at developing daily living skills. We provide access to multidisciplinary clinical support and treatment, including regular medical psychiatric review, Allied Health and 24 hour nursing support. Our complex comprises 10 units that accommodate 20 beds, with 24 hour nursing care support.

- Contribute your expertise in clinical meetings, ensuring clinical standards of care are met
- Provide clinical leadership within the Central community team and clinical supervision of placement students and junior staff within their discipline specific team
- Manage clinical risk and actively work toward implementing risk reduction strategies
- Promote a friendly, respectful and supportive environment within the organisation
- Participate in annual performance appraisal, peer review and other relevant forums
- General mental health and specialist assessment and treatment to consumers and their carers
Your contribution
- working experience in Mental Health Nursing and at least 2 years’ experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
- Excellent interpersonal skills plus the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
- Commitment to ongoing professional self-development
- Well-developed skills in writing and an ability to promptly prepare case assessments, individual service plans, discharge summaries and other forms of documentation
