Your new team


4 South is a 40 bed unit comprising of 13 higher observation beds, 4 step down beds, 16 ward beds and 6 Epilepsy monitoring beds.

An exciting opportunity exists to join our Neurosurgery/ Epilepsy monitoring ward. We are looking for a enthusiastic nurse wishing to expand their clinical nursing experience, utilise monitoring equipment and invasive devices.

 

A maternity leave position is available in Neurosurgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. We are seeking Registered Nurses who can work in a dynamic, busy ward with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

  

These positions will focus on advacing healthcare for everyone, everyday. Working alongside our values of People first, leading with kindness and excellence together


The nursing team on 4 south are supported by a highly trained clinical nurse educator team offering a variety of educational opportunities

 

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Participate and cooperate in consultative process to improve the health and safety and reduce risk to the safety and well-being of staff
  • Support and promote preceptorship including undertaking the preceptor role
  • Contributes to the development of an effective discharge plan and provides appropriate patient education and referral to appropriate community providers


Your Contribution

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing And Midwifery Board of Australia
  • A minimum of two years current acute clinical experience
  • Excellent communication skills & clinical knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
