Helping Young People Early(HYPE) Senior Clinician (OT3, SW3, RPN4, P3)

Permanent Part-Time (0.5 EFT)

 

About the Role:

We require an experienced and enthusiastic clinician to join the HYPE program. The Helping Young People Early (HYPE) program was established in 1999 and provides an evidence-based Early Intervention service for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) in youth.

 

The program offers treatment to young people diagnosed with 3 or more DSM-V BPD criteria, with no specific exclusions for co-occurring psychopathology. Applicants are expected to have some experience in the provision of mental health services to young people generally, with particular interest and experience in treatments appropriate for BPD.

 

Provision of mental health services occurs in both an office based and outreach capacity.

 

Orygen Youth Health Clinical Program provides specialist mental health services for young people aged between 15 and 24 years of age within the community, and within an inpatient setting.

It offers specialist interventions for a range of disorders including psychosis and mood disorders, co-morbid substance use and emerging personality disorders. Services include crisis intervention and assessment, inpatient care, individual case management, group and family therapy interventions, intensive outreach services, community consultation and education.

 

Essential Requirements for the Role:

Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, eligibility for membership of the appropriate professional body and eligibility to work in Australia are essential.
