NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (North West, Mid West, Inner West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time position within the North West Community Care Units. We are seeking a highly motivated clinician who has a sound working knowledge of and commitment to the Recovery framework.
The North West Community Care Units provide 24 hour community based residential care to people who experience long term serious mental illness and disability. Residents require high levels of clinical support and intensive rehabilitation to manage their mental health and daily living.
The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of the recovery framework and provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment to an allocated case load of clients. The successful applicant will be required to engage in clinical supervision, contribute to in-service education sessions, and have a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
The successful applicant will be required to work rostered shifts - morning, afternoon, and nights inclusive of weekends. There may be allocated shifts and duties within our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) to support an integrated model.
