Melbourne Health Shared Pathology Service

 

Full Time until 18/09/2018, then Part Time (0.8EFT) until 30/11/2018

 

  

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with an Associate Diploma in Science or in Applied Science (Medical Laboratory), or equivalent qualification, to join our team within the Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

 

This is a Full Time, temporary position until 18/09/2018. The position will then revert to part-time at 64 hours per fortnight. The successful applicant will provide support to the Pathology Clinical Trials Coordinator. The main duties of this role are to prepare and manage research specimens, process and section tissue samples and assist in the set-up of clinical trials and research projects.

 

Previous experience in a pathology service is essential, in particular specimen reception and/or anatomical pathology experience. The successful applicant will have a proven ability to prioritise workloads, complete tasks according to strict timelines and cope with multiple and varied tasks. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment are also required.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have an Associate Diploma in Science or in Applied Science (Medical Laboratory), or equivalent qualification, in an appropriate discipline?
Essential: Do you have experience in a Pathology service, especially in Specimen Reception and/or Anatomical Pathology?
