Senior Social Worker/Key Clinician Position.
Brunswick Community Team. Part time Fixed Term.
40 hours per fortnight until 27.01.17
About the position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term part time Senior Social Worker position with the North West Community Mental Health Team Brunswick. We are seeking a highly motivated clinician to provide high level clinical expertise within the Community Team with respect to the assessment and treatment of consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers, and support other clinicians in the delivery of high quality mental health care to a small caseload of consumers. The Senior Clinician will participate in clinical service development activities within the Team, and encourage and support quality initiatives and research. The role also involves the provision of supervision to staff as well as students within the relevant discipline.
The North West Community Mental Health Team Brunswick is an integral program of North West Area Mental Health service. We provide services for people, who are experiencing mental illness who require short, medium or longer term support and care. Consumers reside in the City of Moreland.
The successful applicant will have sound clinical and leadership skills with an understanding of the recovery framework and a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act, its amendments and other relevant legislation.
