Research Nurse – RN3B year 1 – Full Time Fixed Term 12 months
An opportunity exists for an experienced Nurse to join the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (City and Royal Park Campuses). The successful applicant will work in collaboration with other research staff and be involved in recruitment and data collection for a number of single-centre and multi-centre clinical trials. Current trials are looking at anaesthetic depth (the Balanced Anaesthesia study), intravenous fluids (the RELIEF study) and dexamethasone (the PADDI study).
Experience in peri-operative nursing or critical care nursing is essential. Qualifications in research and/or experience in research nursing, including recruiting and interviewing patients, assisting clinicians with the conduct of trials including ethics and grant applications, and data management, are highly desirable. Applications may be considered from applicants who wish to work 3 days or more.
