About the Role:
The National Standards and Clinical Governance Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (National Standards) at Melbourne Health and the effective functioning of the clinical governance committee structure. In order to achieve successful outcomes, the role has a strong focus on planning, coordination, education, and change and risk management.


The National Standards and Clinical Governance Manager will work with committees, managers and clinicians, and utilise project management, evaluation and improvement methodologies, to ensure the National Standards are fully implemented and MH meets all external accreditation requirements.

Key result areas will include, but are not restricted to:
• Successful implementation of National Standards in Melbourne Health services
• Effectively executed secretariat function for specified clinical governance committees
• Implementation and evaluation of the National Standards implementation strategy
• Effective and timely reporting on National Standards implementation strategy and Clinical Governance Operational Plan
• Effective communication and liaison with Melbourne Health executive, managers, and clinical and support staff, and accrediting agency
