The Outer Community Team at Mid West Area Mental Health Service are a welcoming and supportive diverse group of multi-disciplinary clinicians.


We will provide the opportunity for you to work in an integrated community model of care that offers you flexible Part Time work hours in a specialist senior clinician position with a focus on Eating Disorders.


A Job To Be Proud Of: 

  • Provide consultation and support for recovery oriented assessment and interventions for clients presenting with Eating Disorders and co morbid conditions
  • Assist in the provision of primary, secondary and tertiary consultation services, community development and education, liaison and linkage to other agencies that also provide support to people with mental illnesses as required
  • Ensure all client centred activities are accurately documented in the appropriate format within the clinical patient file in a timely manner
  • Work in collaboration with your multi-disciplinary mental health team

Your Contribution: 

  • Present a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
  • Knowledge of relevant evidence based treatment models and interventions for high and low prevalence psychiatric illnesses 
  • Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders

Selection Criteria Essential: Formal Qualification(s) & Required Registration(s): Enrolled Nurses - Registration as an enrolled nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Diploma in Nursing, or equivalent
