About the Position:
Performing tests means: performing all necessary steps to produce results, assessing the reliability of the results by standard control mechanisms, and authorising the release of the results to requesting clinicians, having regard to the underlying physiology and any advised pathophysiology pertinent to the given samples being tested, according at all times to the requirements of MHP procedure manuals.
- Covers all areas of Microbiology including Serology
- Participation in weekend, Evening and Night shift rosters is required
Essential Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in science or in applied science, or an equivalent qualification, in an appropriate discipline.
- Perform tests within MHSPS laboratories as assigned by the supervising Principal Scientist, Grade 4 and Grade 3 scientists in a scientifically acceptable and professional manner.
- Experience in Microbiology.
