The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Psychology Service in a Part Time role (24 hours per week). The Psychology Service works with patients, families and clinical staff to identify and manage emotional, psychological, or behavioural factors that may be impacting on a patient’s wellbeing or engagement with treatment and self-management.

The successful applicant will provide clinical psychology services (assessment, therapeutic interventions, discharge planning and education) to clients of Melbourne Health. The role is primarily located at the city campus within Melbourne Health’s cancer services, but may also involve the provision of services to other areas, including the pain service, sleep clinic, general inpatient services and rehabilitation, as clinical need dictates. This position will provide the opportunity to work within a dynamic division with a strong focus on evidence based practice, consumer focussed care, clinical research and quality assurance.

A Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and registration with AHPRA are essential.  Previous clinical experience in public hospital settings and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.  Endorsement, or in the process of gaining endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia is desirable.
