The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Function and Convention Centre team. This is a Part Time Fixed Term position, working 16 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.

 

Your Opportunity:

 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Function and Convention Centre is a busy and exciting place to work. We offer versatile function rooms of varying sizes for conferences and meetings and provide catering both for internal and external functions. An exciting and unique position has become available for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Function Centre Manager.  Key aspects of the role include:

  • Support and assist the Function Centre Manager to manage the day to day operation of The Royal Melbourne Hospital Function Centre
  • Manage the financial requirements of the department including external invoicing, internal transfers and End of Month processing
  • Supervise and participate in all aspects of functions including food preparation and bar service and promoting the function centre facilities

About You:

  • Experience in Event Management
  • Experience in managing the day to day operations of a function centre
  • Current Food Handling Hygiene for Food Handlers Certificate
  • Current Certificate Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License
This position may involve working weekends and outside business hours
