Melbourne Health Share Pathology Service – Chemical Pathology Department
An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Scientist Grade 1 to work in our Chemical Pathology Department on a full time, fixed term basis. This position is for a three month period from August 1st 2016 to October 21st 2016. Applicants must be willing to participate in our rotational shift roster, which could see them working on any of our 24/7 rostered shifts.
You must be available to participate in out-of-hours shifts in a structured roster that includes regular evening, nights and weekends.
Your duties will be to perform biochemical analyses using a wide range of automated instrumentation and a limited range of manual testing as well as undertaking specimen registration and pre-analytic processing, and other related duties as required.
The successful applicant will have completed a Bachelor’s degree in science or applied science. Experience in a tertiary hospital biochemistry laboratory is beneficial.
