Your Opportunity:

 An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and friendly team. This full time ongoing grade 2 position is based within the Occupational Therapy department of Royal Melbourne Hospital (city campus) and provides clinical cover for planned leave.

  • This position provides clinical cover to acute neurosciences, trauma, surgical and general medicine
  • The role presents an opportunity to consolidate clinical skills across the spectrum of care within a large tertiary acute hospital
  • The portfolio and supervision structures within the occupational therapy department will also provide opportunities for the successful applicant to participate in clinical governance activities, including quality and research projects
  • This role is supported by an allied health assistant, large department of grade 1 and 2 occupational therapists, grade 3 stream leaders and grade 4 leader in occupational therapy research

  • The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent multidisciplinary team skills and will have a well-developed understanding of health and occupational performance issues for clients within acute care.
