We are looking for Part Time Administration Assistant to join our Aged Persons’ Mental Health Team. This is a (Part Time, Fixed Term) position, 32 hours per fortnight, based at the Aged Persons Mental Health Academic Unit, located at Parkville.

 

Your Opportunity:

  •  The role encompasses a broad range of individual functions that are essential to support the smooth running of the Academic Unit
  •  Provide personal assistance, secretarial and administrative support to the Professor of Psychiatry of Old Age and Academic Unit Director
  •  Diary/calendar management 
  •  Provide administrative support to meetings as required
  •  Support preparation of grant applications, reports and presentations
  •  Conference organising, support and planning
  •  Maintenance of relevant databases

About You:

  •  Understanding of academic environment
  • Highly proficient computer skills (Advanced skills in Microsoft Office)
  •  Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff
  •  Proven effective interpersonal skills and attributes that demonstrate use of initiative
  •  Ability to maintain efficient appointment, reminder and filing systems
  •  Proficient with audio typing
  •  Spreadsheet management
  •  Significant skill and experience in secretarial and clerical capacities
  •  Experience in database and records management and minute taking
  •  Build relationships with key staff members.
