The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individual to join our Business Intelligence team. This is a Part Time position, working 64 hours per fortnight, based at the city campus.

 

Your Opportunity:

  • Develop ad hoc reports from SQL queries and design these reports in Excel or SSRS
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to clarify and understand their data requests and how the BI Unit can assist.
  • Develop reports that present data in an accurate, clear and informative manner.
  • Undertake and contribute to data collection, analysis and reporting tasks to facilitate timely and accurate internal and external performance data reporting.
  • Analyze patient activity, workforce, access, quality and financial data to assist in the decision making and process improvement initiatives of Melbourne Health staff, management and Board.

About You:

  • Expert in the use of Excel for the presentation and analysis of complex data, especially with pivot tables and lookups.
  • Proficient SQL programmer and experienced with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with building reports using SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, specifically the ability to clearly explain technical information.
