Community Senior Mental Health Key Clinician - Alcohol and Other Drugs

  • Full Time, Ongoing, 80 hours per fortnight including ADO, flexible working arrangements negotiable

IWAMHS has a unique opportunity for a clinician with skills across mental health and AOD due to expansion of community mental health services. We specialise in providing consumers and carers with serious mental illness assessment, diagnosis and appropriate evidenced based treatment


We have a strong team culture and value the development of our workforce. Based in Moonee Ponds, this role is an opportunity to take on a leadership role, supporting other clinicians and contributing to the growth of mental health services in our community.


Your new role:

  • Deliver positive outcomes for clients through the provision of integrated mental health and AOD interventions
  • Actively engage & lead in discipline specific and multidisciplinary team activities and meetings
  • Undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Drive self-development; contribute expertise in clinical meetings and to improve service delivery

Your Contribution

  • You are confident in the provision of support and treatment for people experiencing drug and alcohol related issues and their families.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer software use and information technology on the Microsoft Windows platform and ability to learn new programs and navigate databases
  • Hold a current Victorian Driver’s Licence, and ongoing ability to use this form of transport
