- A permanent full-time community mental health clinician position, rotating roster with morning and evening shifts over the 7-day week is available for an interested passionate mental health clinician

Your New Team
- We are a multidisciplinary team comprising of Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Medical staff
- We have an integrated model of care providing mental health community services to people with a mental illness who reside in the City of Brimbank and part of Hume (Sunbury & Bulla) while supporting their carers
- All clinical staff have a case management component, clinical staff are also rostered to various functions providing brief intervention, intensive clinical and / or triage roles
- Sub-acute brief intervention is provided 7-days a week with a morning and evening shift, staff generally commence BH’s Monday to Friday with a view to commencing the rotating roster by negotiation and as skills develop

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to
- Work collaboratively with other clinicians to provide treatment interventions for individuals who have a significant mental illness, treatment interventions are recovery focussed and opportunities to provide and develop discipline specific interventions will be available
- You communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form
- Contribute to our integrated model of care, all clinicians have some case management responsibility and provide clinical response to our integrated functions of brief intervention, triage & new patient assessments and our clinical intensive stream
A typical day will include:
- Assessing and providing evidence-based interventions to consumers with various psychiatric illnesses
- Engaging with consumers, their family members and other service providersProvide strategic and operational leadership of the service to ensure evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care
- Coordinating medical, psychosocial and legal aspects of care delivery
Your Contribution
- You are a motivated mental health clinician committed to continued learning and developing your clinical skills
- You have a passion for caring and making a genuine difference in the lives of public mental health consumers and their family members
- You enjoy being part of a dynamic team and draw on the experience of your colleagues yet are confident to work autonomously and contribute positively to the teams’ well-being
- You have the relevant registration with AHPRA for nursing, occupational therapy or clinical psychology. Social workers are eligible for membership with the AASW
