The Connecting Care Program and Parkville Electronic Medical Record (EMR) 

The Connecting Care EMR Program is a digital partnership between Melbourne Health (MH), The Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH), Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) and the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) to transform patient care and research in the Parkville precinct.

 

Connecting Care will expand the cutting-edge RCH Epic EMR to operate across the four health services, creating one powerful shared clinical and research system and setting a new benchmark for EMR technology in Australia.

 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our EMR team.

 

Your Opportunity:

 

As a Connecting Care EMR Data Integrity Officer, you will be a member of the team responsible for analyzing, cleansing, validating and improving patient and provider data across the Parkville Precinct.

Reporting directly to the Connecting Care Health Information & Identity Project Lead, you will work collaboratively with the Health Information and Identity Application team and the Health Information Service departments across the Parkville precinct. The key tasks involved in the role include:

  • Merging duplicate patient records
  • Data analysis associated with the linking of patient records across the 4 organisations within the Parkville Precinct
  • Analysis and reconciliation of provider data stored within the Patient Administration Systems
  • Validating and improving patient demographic data stored within the Patient Administration Systems
  • Development of a single best provider record for both internal and external providers across the Parkville Precinct

About You:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to analyse data

Desirable experience includes:

  • Use of a Patient Administration System
  • Experience working in a health care setting
  • Experience working in a data entry role
