2019 Critical Care Hospital Medical Officer

 

In 2018, The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) celebrates a major milestone – its 170th birthday. As Victoria’s first public hospital, the RMH has touched the lives of millions of Victorians, providing care and treatment for the sickest in our community through outstanding clinical care, medical research and the training of future healthcare professionals. RMH provides specialist and general acute and subacute health services across two campuses. Primarily serving the north western communities of Melbourne, the RMH also provides statewide and specialist services to rural and regional Victorians.
RMH is part of Melbourne Health, which includes Northwestern Mental Health and the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory.

We have one of Victoria’s Level 1 Trauma Services, and the future integration of the hospital’s cancer services within the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre make The Royal Melbourne Hospital the smartest choice for your education and career.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital offers six Critical Care positions primarily suited to PGY3+ doctors considering a career in Anaesthesia and who would like to gain further experience before applying to one of the specialty training programs.

Critical Care Hospital Medical Officer's will rotate through four (4) 13 week rotations comprising of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Unit or another high dependency unit, Emergency Medicine and a general relieving term.
