 Neuropsychiatry - Senior Clinician

  • This is a new fixed term role within Neuropsychiatry at the Royal Melbourne Hospital
  • Intake and Liaison, working within a comprehensive multidiscipline team
  • Flexible and supportive working arrangements

Neuropsychiatry is a team dedicated to excellent patient care, research and innovation. It is recognised as a premier specialist service both nationally and internationally, providing outstanding clinical care and treatment, working to improve the outcomes for all through a comprehensive research program, and the training of our future workforce. Neuropsychiatry is a clinical unit of the Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre, a joint clinical research centre of the University of Melbourne and Royal Melbourne Hospital.

 

Your new role:

  • An opportunity to build a new and exciting role alongside the dedicated team
  • Provide a high level of clinical expertise in supporting the screening of referrals, gathering relevant collateral information, and engaging with consumers and their family/carers.
  • Provide referrers with a helpful, proactive and solution focussed approach, feedback on outcomes, and understanding the needs and preferences of the person and their carer/family
  • Be a central point of contact for clinical needs of the patients and carers.
  • The Senior Clinician will help facilitate and support the patient and family adjustment to a diagnosis, promoting emotional and psychological wellbeing through recommended care strategies and linking with community support services

 

About you:

  • You are an AHPRA registered clinician and have experience in community aged care or neuropsychiatric nursing
  • You are looking to expand your skills and work with world leaders of neuropsychiatric disorder treatment and research.
  • You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
