The Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Melbourne are seeking a Professor/Director of Infectious Diseases for the campus.  

The position is a joint appointment in the Victorian Infectious Diseases Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Melbourne (Level E Professor) at the Doherty Institute. The position requires outstanding clinical, research and administrative skills to lead one of Australia’s largest clinical infectious diseases services in an outstanding collaborative environment that will enhance research success, impact and translation in infectious diseases.

The successful applicant will be specialist medical practitioner in Infectious Disease able to be registered in Australia. They will have had experience in clinical service delivery in infectious disease.  They will also hold a higher degree by research (PhD or equivalent) and possess an outstanding track record of research in this discipline.
