Melbourne Health is an award winning health care service and is one of Victoria’s largest public health providers. We provide comprehensive acute, sub-acute, general, specialist medical and mental health services through both inpatient and community based facilities. These services are provided at the following locations: The Royal Melbourne Hospital – City Campus & Royal Park Campus, North Western Mental Health, RMH Kidney Care Service, Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory and The Doherty Institute.

Melbourne Health’s 2017 Work Experience Program provides high school students with an opportunity to gain an insight into the health sector.

During the work experience week at Melbourne Health the student will be able to experience and observe the daily life of a hospital worker within the Acute Medical Unit - AMU department.

After that week we hope to inspire the student towards what they may want to study in further education, and potentially lead them to a career in Health.

Please note:

- Applications open: 29/05/2017 - 09/06/2017. (Applications will only be accepted via e-recruitment.)

- We only have limited placements, so ensure you submit your application early with a detailed cover letter and provide us with your written response (in approximately 100 words) as to why you wish to gain experience in Acute Medical Unit - AMU department.
