Melbourne Health Pathology is looking to appoint a Professor / Associate Professor as Director of Microbiology within the Department of Pathology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Melbourne at the Doherty Institute. The Pathology Department is based in the Department of Pathology at the RMH.


Your Opportunity: 

This is a Joint appointment in the Department of Pathology , Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Melbourne at the Doherty Institute. The position requires outstanding diagnostic pathology, administrative and research skills to lead the Microbiology unit of the Pathology Department.


About You:  

Key accountabilities will be in areas of Quality of Care, Teaching Education and Research, Leadership and Engagement, People and Environment and Financial Management. Formal Qualifications should include Fellowship of the College of Pathologists of Australasia with Scope of Practice in Microbiology, with a higher degree (PhD; MD) in a related discipline.
