The Royal Melbourne (RMH) is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

RMH has a dedicated Medical Education Unit (MEU) that provides support for Doctors in Training via our Supervisor of Intern Training, Director of Clinical Training and Medical Education Officers. Education includes weekly intern sessions, as well as skills training and advanced life support training.


Your Opportunity:

 

Interns at RMH rotate through five terms. These include General Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Stroke, Urology, Infectious Diseases, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Palliative Care and Rehabilitation. Secondment rotations include Ballarat Health Services, North East Health Wangaratta, The Royal Women’s Hospital and Wimmera Health Care Group Horsham. All Interns are typically required to undertake at least one rural rotation.
