What you will need to succeed in any of our services:

  • You are an AHPRA Registered nurse with acute experience and able to work a range of AM/PM & ND shifts, within our supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team
  • You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development
  • You are ready for a new variety of clinical experiences to enhance your professional growth
  • You have recent acute clinical experience
  • Additional criteria may be required for department specific applications- please read carefully below

About the Service:

 

Our Specialty Nursing Practice departments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital are currently seeking highly motivated Registered Nurses to join our teams. We are offering supported Registered nurse Introduction to Speciality Education (RISE) nursing programs in our specialty nursing practice areas. Please see more detailed department information below:

 

 

RISE Program- Neurosciences: Acute Stroke and Neurology (8B) or Neurosurgery (4S) 


The RMH Department of Neurology and Stroke is an internationally recognised centre for world class patient care. The RISE Program (Neurosciences) is a six (6) month program in which participants will explore common neurological and neurosurgical presentations whilst developing the knowledge and skills required to manage patients with acute stroke, intracranial pathology, epilepsy, as well as those post neurosurgery. Participants will be employed in either Neurosurgery (4S) or Acute Stroke and Neurology (8B) wards.

 

Applicants must have minimum 6 months acute nursing experience to apply.

Applications must include the following:

  • Cover letter addressed to the Postgraduate Nursing Program Coordinator stating one (only) program you are applying for (for example- RISE Program - Renal (6SW))
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Contact details of two (2) senior clinical referees (i.e. NUM, ANUM, CNE)

All applications will be assessed on letter of application, curriculum vitae, clinical experience, references and interview.
