The Royal Melbourne Hospital have two Intern positions available to applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is committed to promoting, developing and fostering improvements and opportunities in Indigenous health for patients, the community and supporting its Indigenous health workforce.

 

This position is part of the Allocation and Placement Service (APS) coordinated by PMCV. Refer to PMCV website for Allocation and Placement Service (APS) guidelines and dates, and register with PMCV APS. https://allocations.pmcv.com.au/

 

Royal Melbourne Hospital Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Internship Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have registered for the APS via PMCV
  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Be accepted by community as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

It is a condition of application that you discuss internship at RMH with one of the following Indigenous doctors who are a part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Working Group and also mentors for junior staff;

General aptitude will be taken into consideration in the final selection process.

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check and a Working with Children Check. Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of an immunisation assessment prior to commencement.
