VINAH Data Officer
- Maintain and analyse VINAH error statistics
- Provide feedback to users on data entry errors
- Full Time, fixed term for 12 months + salary packaging + ADOs
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individual to join the Health Information Services Statutory Reporting team. This is a Full Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at City Campus. The VINAH Data Officer is responsible for the reporting to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) of Victorian Integrated Non-Admitted Health Data Set (VINAH), Agency Information Management System (AIMS) and Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS).
Your new role
- Familiarity with allocation of individuals and departments to appropriate work queues in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Correction of errors using EMR error work queues, VINAH extract, DHHS returned files and data remediation reports
- Distribution of VINAH errors to appropriate OP areas
- Correction and distribution of ESIS errors
- Monthly submission of AIMS statistics to DHHS
- Balance internal and external reported totals
- Maintain and analyse VINAH and ESIS error statistics
- Provide feedback to users on data entry errors
- Maintain an up to date VINAH and ESIS Procedure manuals
- Submission of VINAH & ESIS extracts when required leave relief for other team members
- Familiarity with the DOH VINAH and ESIS Manuals including data definitions, business rules, edits etc.
About you
- You will have an understanding of computer applications for data collection and reporting.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy with data entry.
- Well-developed Windows based computer skills that include but are not limited to Excel, Word and Outlook.
- You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
- Ability to work to a deadline both in a team and independently.
