Your new team:
The Aged Persons' Mental Health Program (APMHP) provides information, support and specialist mental health services to older people aged 65+ years. The APMHP is committed to working with consumers during their recovery by offering holistic and evidence base treatment, which is inclusive of family/carers and provided by clinicians with well-developed skills.
The APMHP provides service to the entire NorthWestern Mental Health catchment and consists of three acute inpatient units, three Aged Psychiatric Assessment & Treatment Teams (APATT), one Intensive Community Treatment Team (ICT) and a Behaviour and Specialist Intervention Consultation Service (BASICS)
Your new role:
- Operate as a self-motivated, enthusiastic and well-organised mental health clinical leader with a passion for provision of high quality, recovery focused occupational therapy services
- Work across a range of settings, using your senior clinical leadership experience to support high quality mental health service delivery
- Work flexibly, provide engaging education and supervision support to colleagues and work collaboratively APMHP leadership team
- Provide strategic leadership of the service to ensure evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care
What you'll bring:
- Comprehensive experience and demonstrable outcomes in supervision, consultation and risk management, psychiatric assessment and therapeutic interventions
- High level of expertise in the delivery of mental health service
- Commitment to professional development for self and others
- Demonstrated ability to support clinical staff and to engage in performance management processed
