• Full Time 80hrs with an ADO based at Melton Community Health Services centre
  

The Outer Community Mental Health Team Is a welcoming and supportive diverse group of multi-disciplinary clinicians including a Nurse Practitioner, Forensic Clinical Specialist integrated onsite with Drug and Alcohol, Family Services and Community Health at the newly built Melton Community Health Services centre.

The team values the specific contributions of clinical psychologists and occupational therapists to the treatment of our consumers with often challenging and complex mental health presentations.

A Job To Be Proud Of:

• Participate in regular individual and group supervision, have access to high quality in-house and external training, be able to contribute to the development and delivery of targeted OT and psychological interventions (individual and group-based) for consumers referred to the Intensive Support Program, MWAMHS OT and Psychology Clinic
• Working in a multidisciplinary team with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses and consumer peer workers will see you develop your holistic understanding of mental health and add significantly to the breadth of your skills
• Carrying a case-load and working with consumers from multicultural backgrounds with a broad range of low and high-prevalence psychiatric presentations
• Liaising with other service providers internally and externally to establish comprehensive and consistent best-practice responses

• Experience in working within a team environment and with a range of consumers from varied cultural backgrounds and psychiatric presentations 
• You are a motivated clinician committed to continued learning and developing your clinical skills
• You have a passion for caring and making a genuine difference in the lives of public mental health consumers 
• Knowledge of relevant treatment models and interventions for high and low prevalence psychiatric illnesses Understanding of legislative and policy directions within the Victorian public mental health services including, but not limited to, the Recovery Framework and the Mental Health Act (2014) 
• Skilled in engaging consumers and family members, developing rapport and forming therapeutic relationships
