Cancer Care Coordinator for Neurosurgery

 

  • Liaise with medical staff in the unit – neurosurgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, registrars and residents regarding patient care and treatment plans.

About the role:
The Department of Neurosurgery provides comprehensive inpatient services and is actively involved in clinical and laboratory research programs. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with professionals from various departments and institutions to deliver exceptional patient care and advance research initiatives.

Your new role involves:

  • Identifying gaps in care and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Coordinating research activities within the clinical unit to enhance participation in clinical trials and research.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across all RMH/PMCC teams and advocating for safety, values, and wellbeing.
  • Contributing to organization-wide initiatives and risk management activities.
  • Working in partnership with consumers, patients, and families while prioritising wellbeing and safe work practices.

About you:

  • You have acute Nursing or other relevant Allied Health experience with a collaborative working style.
  • You have Care-coordinator or other Management experience.
  •  You are looking to expand your nursing skills and work with world leaders of neurological disorder treatment and research.
  • You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
  • You are an AHPRA registered Nurse with ward experience and are willing to work on a rotating roster, within our supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team.
