The Royal Melbourne Hospital offers a limited number General Surgery Unaccredited Registrar positions to Doctors who are seeking to gain experience as a non-accredited registrar within general surgery. These positions provide valuable surgical experience and patient management opportunities, ideal for candidates entering the surgical training program.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to rotate within the following Registrar positions:
- General Surgery/Emergency General Surgery - The Royal Melbourne Hospital
- Trauma - The Royal Melbourne Hospital
- Colorectal Registrar - Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
- General Surgery Registrar – Wimmera Health Care Group
- General Surgery Registrar - Epworth Richmond
- Urology Registrar – Ballarat Health Services
- Surgery Registrar leave cover - Various locations
- Vascular Surgery (2 x 6 month rotations)
- Urology Surgical HMO (after hours General Surgery Registrar cover) - Wangaratta
All of our offers of employment will be 12 months in duration. Depending on your level of experience and ability, we offer either a full 12 months as an Unaccredited Registrar or 2 rotations in surgical HMO rotations and 2 rotations (minimum) in Unaccredited Registrar rotations.
