Occupational Therapist Grade 2

Community Therapy Service – Pain service and amputee rehabilitation

  • Provide excellent clinical assessment and therapy for patients in the community therapy service (CTS)
  • Flexible roster in our supportive and collaborative Occupational Therapy team
  • Part time (48 hours/fortnight) to October 2024. Potential for permanence.

Your New Role

  • The community therapy service has a focus on patients musculoskeletal conditions (pain management and amputee rehab) in Team B
  • You provide high standard, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for patients in Community Therapy Services
  • You provide individual and group occupational therapy service to patients across various modalities including home, centre based and telehealth.
  • Supervise and educate junior occupational therapists, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students
  • Demonstrate excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and leadership
  • Enjoy a career structure which develops specialist clinical, research, education, and leadership skills for Allied Health.

About You

 

  • You have hospital experience with a collaborative working style
  • You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
  • You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist dedicated to providing evidence-based practice
  • You value working with supportive and dedicated Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
