Social Work

  • Support the Social Work team to provide world class patient care
  • Support ongoing care of patients in the acute hospital
  • Full time role working across City and Royal park campuses

We are looking for a Grade 2 or Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant to join the Social Work team at Royal Melbourne Hospital. This role is integral to the Social Work team and provides support through clinical and administrative tasks. The role is supported by AHA key contact Social Workers, the Social Work team and department Manager.


The Allied Health Assistant aids in patient related and administrative tasks to support coordinated service delivery under supervision from the relevant clinicians. This is an exciting opportunity to provide meaningful support to Social Work service operation and development.

 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub­acute and community-based services across a range of specialties.


Your new role:

  • Provide support to the Social Work team through completion of administrative tasks related to patient services.
  • Under the direction and / or supervision of the health professional, assist patients in accessing services, coordinating family meetings and completing application forms.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of departmental records.
