Food Services Assistant - Afternoon Shift Working Saturday & Sunday 

  • Based at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Park Campus
  • Part Time Ongoing position 16 hours per fortnight
  • Shifts 1600-2000 Saturday and Sunday
  • Salary packaging benefits, central location

As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health. 

 

About the role

  • Prepare, plate, distribute and collect patient meals
  • Provide meal and beverage service to wards & patients
  • Basic food preparation including making sandwiches, plating and heating of meals
  • Cleaning duties

About you

  • Current Food Handlers Certificate (Health HLTFS207C)
  • Contribute effectively to a team environment and independently as required
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to cover leave
